Article and Content Features

 

Kimberly Blaker Features Service wants to make your job easier.  Here's how we help you.  Each article includes:

 
bullet

suggested title and subtitle (titles may be changed by editor/publisher)

 
bullet

two suggested pull quotes

 
bullet

ideas for localizing and/or adding sidebars (Some include sidebars. We allow localizing of articles.)

 
bullet

word count (Articles may be edited to desired length. Changes must be approved by KBFS.

 

 

Terms

First-print rights are offered for regional publication guaranteeing that an article will not appear within your circulation anytime before and for a period of 3 months following the month of publication.  If first-print rights cannot be honored, we will notify you at the time of your request in which case one-time print rights will generally be available.

Editors/publishers must confirm in advance their intent to publish an article so that we can verify availability within a particular circulation area. Submission of a manuscript for editor’s review is not confirmation that it may be published. Reservation for use of an article is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Notification of intent to publish an article must be made in writing (email) or via telephone.

Web publication rights is included in the fee for print publication. First-print rights do not apply to web publication.

Payment is due within 30 days of the first day of publication.

A clip of the article is requested along with payment.
