Library Card Sign-up Month
(September)
by Kimberly Blaker
Introduction and Excerpts:
Some of my earliest and fondest childhood memories
were my weekly visits to the public library. At the age of four, I was
introduced to this land of wonder. Each week I headed off eagerly to story time,
or ‘library school’, as my mother would call it.
Movies/Films – Today’s libraries have not only a great selection of popular mainstream movies and television series on both VHS and DVD, but children’s, educational, independent, and even foreign films.
Music CDs – Music is the universal language. Your family can check out pop,
rock, and country CDs as well as a great selection of classical, jazz, blues,
international music and more.
